One of our big projects this year was the planning and construction of a new shop. I've wanted a place that I can work on heavy equipment in the winter that is not freezing cold and on gravel. So we built a 36x36 shop with an attached 14 x 40 lean to next to our equipment barn. It will also serve as a shooting shed, as I can shoot 100+ yds from the shop. The shop has a 7" concrete floor with lots of rebar, a 2' concrete stem wall (with lots of rebar), 12' 2 x 6 insulated walls (for a total ceiling height of 14') and 2 12' x 12' insulated roll up doors, three man doors and three windows. Ceiling has 12" of insulation. I'm still looking for a good used stove for heat. Hardest part of the job was to move our transformer from where it was (in front of the right roll up door) to its present location. Lots of careful digging as we didn't want to have to splice the line. Nice to have the job done. As you can see, we've been having some decent weather.
