I think I've seen this before somewhere but can't figure who the manufacturer was etc. Figured that someone here would know.....

I'm looking for a rear peep/aperture sight that attaches to the rear scope base (Leupold QRW or QR). I'd like to have the ability to switch between the peep/aperture sight and scope while in the field while retaining each sight systems zero.

Am I imagining something that isn't possible? Thanks in advance!!!

NECG has them as well. Have not used the Weaver style. But, had one on a Ruger 77/357 for a while with no issue.

There are some made for weaver base. Also readfield made one , a little flip up on the reare base. Best setup is the old sako peep.. My Sakos that have front sights don't even have a rear sight. I don't know if they came with the peep or they were bought later...

Also check out the talley system as well as the custom talley pop-up rear sight made by Jim Brockman. I have both and they work perfectly.

I have a couple of the Talley removable peep sights that fit their modified bases.

Cheers, Chris

The NECG Weaver peep works well and is made for the QRW base. IIRC, Brockman only makes his for the Win M70.

My recently acquired Forester came with the peep, but as my eyes aren't what they used to be, I sold it on Gunbroker to someone that needed it. It was very neat and tidy, with dual range capability by simply turning the eyepiece.

What fresh Hell is this?

I have used this on a couple of Rem 700s with detachable mounts. The last one had the Remington factory front sight and XS sight worked perfectly for the height, though it also makes you mount the scope rearward a bit.
