The 'Skins are dead for the rest of this decade because of the RG3 deal.

You'll be without a QB, again, next season. You'll be without a coach, again, next season. You'll be entering the draft looking for miracles with handcuffs on, again. You'll be staring at a weak QB free-agency market, again. You'll be out of the playoffs, again, repeatedly for the rest of the decade.

Well damn dude...just shoot me now. Don't believe it's quite as bad as you've dramatically made it out to be. The rest of this decade??? One change could potentially turn everything around. And the REDSKINS are beyond the stupidity of their RG3 picks. Gruden is not going anywhere.

Yep, the rest of this decade. What move do the 'Skins have to make? Do they have a player they can parlay into draft picks or other players? None of note and none of significance that can pull in a coup. Do they have draft picks to trade or use? Not any more; RGKnee accounted for them. Do they have significant cap space to be active in a free agency market? Nope. Are there major free agents coming up in the next couple of seasons that the 'Skins could target and acquire? Nope.

So, what magical move are they going to make? They went all in with RGKnee and got called holding a busted straight. They are out of chips and out of cards.

Hope you are right about Gruden not going ... but I would not bet the rent $$$ on it.

I think this will be an interesting game, alas Packers take it in the fourth quarter by 10.

Not so sure. The Pack doesn't have much of a running game, but the Pats do. It should be a good one.

That's a good point, Gray is a punishing style runner and the GB defense is damn near last in rush defense.

Oh yeah, the Pats have some guy named Gronk too.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

Packers have held the last 2 teams to less than 100 rushing.

Forte and Shady aren't slouches in rushing.

Lacy's run/catch last night shows why you don't go high on the guy if you want to tackle him.

Greenbay is also way up there in rush attempts, 312 on the year. Numbers can be torqued any way you like. How about these:
28 TD
3 INT
2,748 YDS
120.1 Passer Rating

Belichick will try and befuddle Green Bay, but I don't see it coming together for them. Patriots will abandon the run after the start of the second quarter. Packers secondary will rape and pillage.

Packers lead the league in take-aways +14 differential.

How about 18TD, no picks, and a 138.1 QB rating at home on the year for Rogers.

Or 9TD to 4INT and a 90.8 QB rating on the road for Tom Brady.

Brady is very good ... but Aaron Rogers is the best QB in the NFL.

4ager, they can trade for Eli Manning or Jay Cutler.

Laffin' on all three accounts.

Eli would be an upgrade.

Who do they have to trade at all, though?

Well, RG3 I could see going to one of the needier teams. Texans, Titans, maybe the Jets.

What would you ask in trade for him though? A first round pick? (Yeah, good joke!)

Redskins mortgaged their future away on a poor decision. A new coach and a new quarterback isn't enough to save the redskins from the redskins. Too many poor decisions from the front office; draft, cap-space, free-agency, etc. All the classic failures are there.

I'd root for the Raiders having a better record next year than the Redskins.

Abandon all hope...........

Agreed, and I swear I said almost exactly that.

A second round pick for RGKnee would be a coup for the 'skins at this point.

To complicate the matter more, do you stick with Colt or Kirk to vet them out a whisker? Or draft and go full rebuild?

If you can get a decent vet, you stick with those two and sign the vet to mentor them. Use what you have left of draft picks to put some talent in needed positions and build a team from there. If neither pan out, then you have a team ready for a QB when you can get one.

I certainly don't have all the answers but there are 2 options. Let RG finish out the season, which should determine whether he belongs here and more important whether the team will play for him. If not then make the trade. What do the REDSKINS have to lose? At that point they don't appear to have a franchise QB in Griffin. So cut the losses and just concede to what was yet another terrible front office experiment.

Many are now saying RG is an insecure over-hyped QB who WAS a one trick pony. If so, those injuries took away the trick (his elusive speed) and now he wants to be someone he's not -- a pocket QB. If a bad marriage is what we have to work with then just end it after this season! BUT let him play his game for the next 6 weeks in hopes that he's not injured again. Fat chance of that huh?

In addition, time to hire a real GM who has personnel control. Bruce Allen is not that guy -- I don't care what his last name is. HE's been horrible and the Skins' draft during his tenure has been even worse. REDSKINS always go for quick fixes, which leads to desperation. Danny boy leads up a horrible organization and the front office is full of yes-men who create toxic atmospheres that inhibit success. And it now seems that RG could be the new toxic shark. But at the end of the day the smallest and most toxic shark of them all owns this team. Sure wished Mister Cooke was still around.

As for the rest of the team the REDSKINS have a stellar lineup of receivers and running backs. The defense with a few tweaks is fine. They do need a little help in the secondary. The weakest point for this team is the O line, which may explain some but not all of RG's problems. So for the next 6 weeks let the second O line step up and play for position. Going into 2015/2016 the Redskins should focus on nothing but the offensive line. As well, maybe some coaching changes. Let Gruden bring in dome of his own strategists.

The jury is out on Colt and Cousins but neither have had any consistent playing time so I say give both another season. Frankly, I still like both. In hindsight, the Redskins probably should have taken Tannehill or Kaepernick but that's water under the bridge.

So, the one card to play is to try to trade RGKnee?

Salvation will ensue, I'm sure.
