I was wondering if anybody on here has any experience with Browning's new A Bolt rifle? I would like to disassemble the bolt to clean it, but the owner's manual say to send it to them for cleaning. It looks like it disassemble like Remington 700's, but I am not sure. Has anyone disassembled one? If so, how. Thanks for any help.

The original Abolt was a PITA to disassemble(don't ask me why) there are links on the web to how to disassemble. Send it in to them to get cleaned, or you could dip it in gasoline and then spray lube it and blow out the excess with high pressure air.

I would send it in. A friend of mine got his apart and couldn't get it back together. Browning would only put it back together if he sent in the whole rifle.

Thanks for the replies. I am new to Browning and this was the dirtiest new out of the box rifle I have ever bought. My new A5 was also the dirtiest new out of the box shotgun I ever bought. This is the reason I wanted to clean the bolt assembly. It may be an OK rifle, but if I can't clean it properly I won't keep it. I think I will trade this off on another Winchester M70. I have the Ultimate Shadow model in .30-06 that is a very good rifle. At least to me it is. Thanks
