I knocked an eye cup off my binos the other night. They have been loose for some time. Must have knocked on off getting out of my tree stand. I spoke with them this evening. They say 7-10 days, they will go through them, bring them back to factory spec clean and replace the eye cups. They said I might get billed when they are finished.

These are 8ish year old Nikon Monarchs. Has any one used their CS? They are not under warranty and I doubt I sent the card in. These buggers have been great. Should I send them back or just start shopping for new ones? Concerned the age and them not being registered. I don't mind paying a few bucks to get them refurbed, and expect to pay something. Just reading some of the CS stories on here makes me leery of boxing them up.

A year or so ago I had the side focus go south on a 4.5-14 Nikon scope. I have had the scope for several years (7+ easily if not longer) and I did not send in any warranty card that I remember.

I called the CS 1-800 number to see where/how to send it in and they were very helpful. No problems at all with the "Lifetime Warranty"

It took them 14 days to turnaround the job. Four days in the shop and five days each way on the UPS truck from NC to CA and back.

Call Nikon I my had to have my binos repaired under warranty it did not cost me anything and they were only a few years old at the time and had a 40 year warranty. They did a great job and turn around was less than 2 weeks. You will need the serial number when you talk to their representative.

Update, eye cups covered. These binos are about 8 years old never registered. Apparently cleaned brought into factory spec, only cost me shipping out to Cali. Very pleased. about 15-18days from the time I dropped them in the mailbox til this Friday when they return.
