I think I've found it. It's a 4 section tripod from Really Right Stuff.

http://www.reallyrightstuff.com/s.nl/it.A/id.7824/.f

Number of Leg Sections = 4
Load Capacity = 40 lb / 18kg
Max Height = 49.2 in / 125cm
Minimum Height = 4.0 in / 10cm
Folded Length = 18.7 in / 47.5cm
Weight = 3.2 lb / 1.5 kg

I've got an outdoorsmans medium that I use and really love, but I wanted something more substantial, as I'm doing more digiscoping and I recently picked up a swaro STX 95 from Doug (thanks Cameraland...again). I'll use both but I wanted a more heavy duty option.

They are not cheap. Matter of fact, these tripods are crazy expensive. They are almost twice as much as a comparable Gitzo. Are they worth twice as much? Nah, not really, but it's a better product.

The head is machined aluminum. Weight and rigidity are top notch. Fit and finish is perfect. It stabilizes better for it's size and weight than anything on the market. It's a lifer, for sure. An added bonus is that it's made right here in the USA, unlike the other CF tripods.

I'll post some pics later, but it's just a terrific piece of gear. I can't wait to use it.

I've used it quite a bit already actually and it's terrific. Can't wait to use it for the rest of my hunting life. I should have stated that I can't wait to use it more. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

You can also google a ton of info and raving reviews on these tripods. They perform as well as gitzos 2 weights higher.

This thread has good info.
