The facts are the dems are always the big push to rape your 2A rights, just for openers. Just for openers.
Not surprised you are looking for boy cheerleaders, however. How dare you claim our republicans can't get her done on firearms safety laws! The Bush 1989 imported semi-auto rifle ban is still on the books and in force and his son's 2005 ban on imported semi-auto rifle receivers and barrels is also in force. You must be a democrat for trying to give the glory for those republican victories to the democrats.

Listen,...folks,...folks,..
The only reason people argue about politics is because they still have hope,...and each new politician that comes along plays on that by enforcing "hope" and promising "change".
,..ain't no relief gonna be coming from the government.

In case you did not notice Sotomayor IS a supreme court judge. The rest is your daft speculation. I did not notice your brilliantly successful solutions. Just another lefty whine. Speak to the issue, dufus.

Ah, there it is...name calling. "When the debate is lost...slander becomes the tool of the loser." You exemplify that very clearly. Several posters on this thread have spoken to the issue. You, being a party cheerleader first and foremost...above reason, above common sense, and above facts...choose not to see the truth. Analogous to an ostrich sticking his head in a hole in the ground on a sunny day and saying "the sun isn't shining." Critical thinking beats a team jersey all day long. But it appears that's not something you would know anything about. based on recent history, the GOP, if a party of values, has not been true to their values. Under Bush, we got increased deficits and bigger gov't and more gun control. Is the GOP a party of values? Only on their platform; not in their actions. ...not to mention that the last two Presidential candidates the so-called GOP has put forward have been socialist gun grabbers who'd fit in fine with Dems. No doubt you'll not be deterred from your Party Boy Cheerleading despite such inconvenient issues like facts so carry on.

No. It's a party of people with differing values, but most of them similar and consistent to a philosophy. Until they get to Washington.
We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

Well there's Chief Justice Roberts who executed judicial gymnastics to let Obamacare stand.
Bush's execution of gun control and the stands of the Party's last 2 Pres hopefuls have already been referenced.
How about this... Tell me a major accomplishment that the Repa have to their credit in the last 15 yrs having to do with the judiciary and gun control. Where have they nominated a strong principled Conservative or increased our freedom as it relates to firearms?
You seem to think that obvious and abundant arguments against Dems are identical to the same in favor of the GOP but that is illogical.

The facts are also as efw posted, that the Republicans are also about bigger government (just like the Democrats are), more government control over the citizens (just like the Democrats are), and spending more and more money that we don't have (just like the Democrats do). What efw posted and what I posted are truths whether you want to believe them or not. Evidently the GOP stands for the Gullible Old Party as evidenced by some of its party cheerleaders.
Who gives a shyt... Evidently, not you.

Only a [bleep] idiot get's lost in absolutes. Yeah...it makes much more sense to just keep voting for 'the lesser of two evils' and keep the politicians beholden to us for 'nothing', as opposed to actually expecting them to 'do' something good in order to obtain, or maintain, their position in political office.

One wonders how close 'behind' the hard core communist party in their rush to the left the Republicans can be before someone starts to question his diehard loyalty to them?
Seems to me a vote for socialism is a vote for socialism and relativising things by comparing to communists is navet at best.

WTF are you talking about? When Bush 43 was elected we had the Brady Act and a ban on Assault weapons and magazine restrictions. When Bush left the White house, we had none of the above and the Heller decision, which was upheld solely by Republican appointed Supreme Court justices. Look around the country, every Republican dominated state has lax gun laws, legalized CCW, legalized Suppressor ownership while the states with draconian gun laws are entirely Democrat controlled. If you didn't live in a Democrat shythole, you might realize the rest of us still enjoy freedom and aren't ready to give it up to pieces of shyt like Obama, Pelosi and Chuckie Schumer.

Mog75 well said and thanks for the pics; glad to see you don't care for the taste of pachaderym [bleep] either.
Give me a principled Conservative to vote FOR rather than telling me who to vote AGAINST (any idiot can make that call) and I'll not only get behind em, but actively back them. No matter their party affiliation.
Used to be that guy was predictably GOP now days that just can't be taken for granted. Sad that some feel more allegiance to the Party than the principles.

Last I checked Brady is still on the books so Bush kept that one. The 1994 semi-auto ban sunsetted despite Bush pushing for it. Since he couldn't get a win there, his BATFE did administrative rule changes in the summer of 2005 to ban the import of replacement barrels and receivers for the semi-autos his father banned the import of via Executive Order in 1989. Very frustrating when people like you who claim to be republicans won't give our people credit for their achievements in firearms safety, education, government medicine, and other areas.
