We went to Sportsmans Warehouse when it opened at 6 a.m. this morning. The gun counter had so many people backed up that we bought some other stuff and left. We went back a couple of hours later and walked right up to the counter. We didn't expect to see anything on the flyer still in stock. Anyway, my wife walked out with this stuff. Ruger standard RAR .22 LR, Ruger 50th anniversary 10/22 that comes with a hokey sign and sticker and an extra 25 round magazine, and a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 3-9X40 Matte BDC. $540.53 out the door. I think it was a decent deal.

10/22 standard synthetic etc was $99.99 and the 50th anniversary was $179.99 for the "special" at a local LGS. Thought about it, but did not really want one. Checked for powder and was of course disappointed.

Wow. Where was that? I doubt there has been a NIB 10/22 available here for $99.99 in decades. Even Wal Mart's prices on the standard stuff was higher than the one we got. With respect to the RAR, I have never seen one advertised anywhere for the $199.99 she paid.

It was at Turner's Outdoorsman, a local small chain in SoCal. I happened to be in the opening line when they were handing out the tickets for the Rugers. Was not all bad I was meeting a man who was selling some Bullseye. Haven't seen that for well over year around here.

I was in Sportsmans Whorehouse around 11 AM yesterday. So many people at the counter I didn't even try. Just showed up to haul a safe for my son anyway
