I am not having any luck with H4350 and the Hornady 165 grain Interbonds. I shot Winchester 180 factory loads out of this same rifle the same day I was shooting the 165's and the rifle shot them under an inch so I know it's not the rifle. Does anyone shoot the 165's with a different powder in '06 with good results?

No experience with those interbonds but I found 139 grain interbonds did not shoot nearly as well as interlocks in a good 280 I had. For me, if I had an 06 that did not shoot a 165 bullet at least decently with H4350 I'd switch bullets. I have had several 06s that shot regular 165 interlocks and H4350 well, it is my standard to check out a new 06!

I am odd man out or have had better luck with IMR4350 than the H flavor. My current load is 49.5 grs of Varget and 165.

I never could get Interbonds to shoot. Multiple rigs, powders, etc.

I used these same bullets in a Ruger 300 SAUM and they would be touching one another at 100 yards. I thought I would have the same luck with the '06 since they shot so well from the SAUM. I guess I will load up another bullet with the same load and see what I get.

Try 165 grain Interlocks and 57 of IMR 4350. My go to load for a bunch of friends with bolts, pumps and semi's.

Some get these to shoot well, but I've had no luck with them in a .270, .308, and .30-06.

Interbonds are a bit finicky at times, if accuracy is your main game. Terminal performance is where they shine.

No Interbonds but the 168g Amax and 59.0g of H4350 gets me sub 1.0 moa and 2900+fps.

If I can't get the first, the second won't matter.

I am going to try some IMR 4064 and Varget and see what I come up with. I am probably going to have to switch bullets anyways since you cannot find the 165 Interbonds anymore.

So I changed to 50.0 grains of IMR 4064 and shot these four rounds this morning at 100 yards! I think I have found my powder for the 165 grain Hornady Interbond. I also tried Varget but the IMR was what I am looking for in regards to accuracy.

Interbonds can be a challenge; my experience says either a gun likes them or it doesn't.

I've had good luck in some guns & others that I just couldn't get to shoot as well as the rifles do with other bullets.

There's no really compelling reason for me to need them as there are plenty of other bullets as good or better........IB's have no real magic.

My biggest reason for using the Interbonds is that I want a bullet that stays together so that I have less meat loss. My son uses Hornady Interlocks in a .243 and the deer he shot clean behind the shoulder looked like a bomb went off on the far side of the deer. Yes, it killed the deer right there no doubt but when we butchered it we had to throw away almost the entire rib cage on the other side.

Did Hornady bring back the inter bond? They halted production of it and I thought it was a good bullet for the reason you stated, if its back in production this is good news..

With my '06 and 165 gr bullets, H-414 and a mag primer was the ticket. R-17 showed promise too but needed some more work. Both loads 1/2 grain below book listed max's.

IMR 4064 and H-4598 were nothing to write home about in my rifle with 165's.

I use 57-58 IMR4350/H4350 or 49-50 Varget in mine for around 2800-2850fps.
