Anyone else find that too good to pass up? Walmart had 20% off the regular price of $377 which brought them down to $301.60, then Remington has a $35 rebate. Makes for a final total of $266.60. Not bad for a M700. Of course state tax bumped that up 6%. but still seems like a hell of a deal. Oh, ended up with a poor man's mountain rifle - .243 youth model and added 3/4" worth of spacers. Will swap out the scope to a leupold in the near future, but till then the Tasco or whatever it came with is really not that bad - first few groups were a tad over 1" with Rem 100gr Core Lokts off the tail gate. I think with a better rest and scope it should easily be under 1" and with some good handloads hopefully about 1/2"-3/4" @ 100. To top that off they had Win 222 packs of .22lr so I picked up my allotted 3 boxes of those also. Pretty good day at Wally World.

Damn!! If they had those in left hand models for that price I'd have to buy a 700.

If I can figure out how to take a couple pounds off the trigger pull I'll be a happy camper.

I need to find me one of those for my 10 yr old son as his brother got the LH youth model 243 when he turned 10... Stupid Walmarts in Indianapolis don't sell rifles. Anyone pick up an extra??

Why would you want to toss an easy MOA rifle in the trash? I like it the way it is - not to fancy, totally usable and accurate enough for deer, chucks and yotes to 400yds. I did find the trigger adjustment screw also - trigger is now at 3# and it also now wears a Nikon target scope. Will see what it can really do this weekend.

When I went Sunday night there was a 700 SPS Tactical in 300BO in the rack for $390 and a BDL custom deluxe in 30-06 for $460. They both left when I did...

You know the box that it came in looked just like the one at Sportsman's that was $449. Already shot it a few times and she did not blow up....actually printed a nice little group. I believe the 20% off sale is over but the reg price of $377 is still pretty good and they have a $35 rebate until 12/31.

Hey, I'm just saying be careful. Most factory seconds are golden for a while, then boom. Everything goes to hell. The box don't mean [bleep].

Uncle Dewey says all them WalMart guns are factory seconds. Hope that sumbitch don't blow up in your face Uncle Dewey should have figured out that that was wrong a long time ago. Walmart sells the exact same guns as anyone else. Manufacturers would not risk the liability associated with selling "factory seconds".
