They sell Jack Daniels in Africa? Alcohol and cigars really travel around the world. In Germany they sell Jack Daniels in the gas stations.

I really enjoy the fact I can get bottles of Amarula in Montana and Idaho.
But that won't stop me from going back to Namibia to enjoy some on the rocks after hunting Kudu all day. Sometime in the next 3 years I will get back there.

I'm headed to NZ in March for stag and tahr, so my next Africa trip will have to wait a few years. Maybe 2017? I would like to get back to either South Africa or Namibia for springbok and black wildebeest. Those critters weren't available where I went the first time.
When I make it back to Africa, I couldn't imagine I wouldn't also go after another warthog, impala gembok and kudu.

Sadly enough I took my last one in 2004. Brought home nice pair of 50lbs tusks. My only trophies of all my safaris. Also brought many memories that I enjoy daily. Bank account gets smaller, body wears out and it's time for the memories to take over. You can make them as good or as bad as you choose, they are yours and yours only.

I'm thinking Namibia or Botswana for PG. I might hit Mozambique for a buff/leopard combo though.

I don't really know where but I have to decide between a few options as to type of hunt: 1. Cape Buffalo and add in some other animals.
2. Combo Rifle/Archery hunt for plainsgame only. Greatly desire taking some animals with my bow, but don't want to spend the whole 8-10 days in a blind.
Animals most desired: 1. Buff 2. Eland 3. Blue wilderbeest 4. hartebeest 5. Impala (2 trips, not shot one.. wife and son have) 6. another bushbuck. 7. warthog 8. pretty much whatever trophy gives me a good shot opportunity with my bow.

South Africa in the Limpopo area. Have not decided on species. I'll take my 375 H&H and another rifle but not sure which one.

Amarula (really good) but belongs in the Bailey's category not JD. For First-timers...... ASK about loaner rifles and CULL animals. Also consider if you are bringing all the trophies home(transport & taxidermy can double your cost not to mention home additions.....) or will photos still make you happy? ANY DEALS GET IN WRITING IN THE CONTRACT. GO! Don't procrastinate, no one promised you tomorrow, let alone a trip 2-3-4 years out. Africa is once in a lifetime trip you want to take every year. Namibia and South Africa can allow you to take 10 animals for less than a quality elk hunt or Alaska for one critter or a skunko. jm2cts

Yes, you're right about all the above. Did the PG hunt, with my son, back in 2008. Then we did a "poor mans" DG hunt, in Zim, in 2011. The most thrilling, in your face trip, is hunting tuskless cow elephant. You are in a herd of cows, up close, your potential to get charged is very real[ask me how I know ]. No taxidermy to worry about. Take lots of pics. Come home, and wonder if what just happened was for real.....I know.... maddog

Namibia, late April 2015, cull hunt plus kudu and some other trophy probably. Yes, I will be indulging in Amarula........
