If gets that cold I'm staying by the fire Good info and I'll keep it in mind. Yes I hear you. I have always loved a good snow hunt, but sometimes I am the only thing dumb enough to be out in it..... I've got 2 days of snow hunting this year and it worked last Thursday. I love hunting in the snow but late bow season it along with the teens is when we get most of it in SWVA.

For me a snow hunt generally involves 2-3 feet of snow And tired legs. And plenty of whiskey afterward

That's rugged but I'd love to have a few days like it here.

I love mine and have bought several over the years. I do not like the lightweights and my favorite is the Belgium made. I had three and the triggers broke at 3#'s. My '81 .308 breaks at 4.5#'s. Like a fool I traded the original for something I can't remember now. The guns were .243, 7mm-08, .308 and .358. The Belgium was my first hunting rifle.

Have you ever owned one or are you just making an uninformed opinion?

I bought my BLR in .270 Win with the pistol grip last January. I've been very satisfied with the BLR. Yes it is a bit pricey but build quality is very good. I've added a Vortex 3-9x40 scope and Montana sling. The gun handles and points very nicely. I handload 130gr and 140gr Interlock, SST, and GameKing bullets with Hornady, Winchester and Remington brass - it's never had a factory round through it - and I've never had any extraction or cycling problems. Yes the trigger was pretty heavy initially but it has improved with use and now has a clean and crisp break - I have no complaints about the trigger now. My BLR is right at a 1 MOA shooter. The only complaint I have is that spare mags cost too much - I paid $66 for mine.

I have a pre 96 with the steel receiver in 30-06, and it is not for sale...... I worked outside in -27 to -40 all week. Bud cycled his BLR and teeth went flying. Then it was froze up and wouldn't cycle. My Winchester didn't miss a lick. Rifles were sitting outside in pole barn.... How about a picture of those broken teeth on that BLR???
