Does anybody know why this isn't chambered in a rifle with all the interest in 6.5 mm rounds? I know it has in the past, but now it is almost impossible to find a used one. And if you find one they want a king's ransom for it. Just wondering if there is a reason for this. Tikka chambers it in the T3 but Beretta doesn't carry that chamfering in the US any more.
Sort of frustrated!!

Yeah, I had 0 intentions of buying anything, but when I saw what they had it marked for, then after they took it apart and showed me it was unmolested, I couldn't leave it behind..

Howa used to offer a 6.5X55, might check the internet and see if it's still available.

Might take a look at the 260 Remington or the 6.5 Creedmoor... Different headstamp but they pretty much do the same thing. CDNN has Rugers available in 6.5 Creedmoor with 24 inch barrels.

Howa still makes them. I bought a barreled action about 1.5-2 years ago and stuck it in a Boyds stock. Put a Timney in it, very accurate gun.

There's usually at least three pages of various Swedes on Gunbroker. If you expect to find one in a local gun shop, you may have to wait awhile.

Contact Eurooptic - they're taking orders for January delivery of Tikka T3 Hunters in 6.5x55. I have one and it's a real jewel. Definitely one that will get passed down when I give up. It's the 1st rifle I can honestly say I've never considered wanting to sell and never will.

If you ignore headstamps, a 270, 7/08, 260, or Creedmoor will substitute in a pinch wink Sold my SS/FWT 6.5x55, miss it, but survived..........

Both TC Venture & WBy VG's list Swede's on the their home pages Spec Sheets, but I've never seen one.

+1 on having had a T3 that was a bughole shooter, and did one of the most major Dumb Things I've ever done and traded it off on a most beautimous M85 260 Hunter Grade SAKO that was too pretty to take to the woods. Medical Expense Finances Reality finally ruled the day, the SAKO went away and Buds came thru with a T3 HG 260 that came in last week with enough $'s left over for some new glass too in the turn around.... so I'll start over with the perfect Old Man's Do All Shooter now that I am officially into Geezerhood at past 70.

OK My bad...the Weatherby Vanguard spec sheet shows a 6.5 Creedmore and NOT a 6.5x55 Swede...and Still Never Seen one or I'da bought it AND the T3 260 to see which one shot best and sold the other one...

Grices gun shop in Clearfield Pa. is advertising a special run of the Browning X-Bolt in 6.5 Swede right now.

An X-bolt in the Swede is possibly the last thing I would have expected.

Fine round, but one just never crossed my path at the right time.

That's a beauty. I see your in NoVa, as am I. Did you get it locally? If so....wow!

To the OP, there were some M77 II in the swede, and the recent steyr's are chambered in the swede as well. I think they are both pretty hard to find though.

I bought a Tikka T3 Hunter here on the classified section a couple of years back. Mrs. Tide has laid claim to it, but I did get to shoot a deer with it this season.

Recently, I picked up a Ruger American Predator chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm thinking that no deer will know the difference between the two cartridges.
