Was able to harvest this buck on November 12th. Connected after he answered my grunt call. He peered at me up over a knoll and gave me his neck and head straight on at 223 yards. Was on a three day hunt and only saw this buck and a few does.
Temps were minus 26 celius (minus 14 farenheit)

He was a very heavy buck. Not sure if he had the genetics for large antler growth though.....

Nice buck! the pics remind me very much of the buck I took last year in WMU 516 in Alberta, the amount of snow and the landscape looks so similar!

I hunt in 342 actually. If my memory serves me right did you not kill a huge buck out Wandering River way years ago??

Not just me! The missus is tough too!!! We sat on cutlines, cutblocks walked, broke trail in the jeep, and she was in her glory as well!!!!

It is great that your wife goes out with you! I tried it with mine but she only came out a couple times. I am hoping my son will enjoy it as much as I do, he is old enough to start coming along on short trips.
