Just read the thread on the Walker trigger which included a fix.
I have several X-Marks and X-Mark Pros, I'm not sending the rifles in. Is there a fix for the problem, whatever the problem is?
(Other than buying an Timney, Rifle Basix etc.?)

10-4.
Was just wondering what the issue was, AD with the X-Marks?
I thought the X-Mark was developed to cure just that.

I thought it was Clark that was respectful enough to use the KY?
Travis would have gone in dry.

You may as well put a different trigger in the gun, the X-Mark triggers are garbage!

What's so bad about the Xmark? I just bought an ADL on the cheap with an Xmark that has had the recall done (dimple on the bolt release). I haven't shot the rifle yet but I did adjust it down and check for function, and it seems to be a decent stock trigger. It does have a slight amount of creep but it does break crisp.

Garbage I can live with till I can replace them all, unsafe I cannot.
The one X-Mark Pro I have worked on is very crisp and clean with an Ernie the gunsmith spring.

I just put an Ernie spring in a new XMP trigger (post recall) and it yields a clean and safe hunting trigger (no slamfires on hard bolt slams). My digital scale registers 2lb 14oz to 3lb 2oz. I can go lighter with the old-style triggers, usually 2-2.5lbs, but this trigger is adequate for most big game uses.
Now with even more aplomb

The XMark trigger can be just fine if it is adjusted well. I have one that is a crisp, consistent 2.5 pounds, and hasn't varied for a few years now.
The XMark recall was not to fix a design problem, but rather due to too much sealant applied to the threads which might have run into the inside gumming it up.
The Walker trigger is the one with the design "problem."
