Ohhhh the things a man sees in his travels.

Was setting in a SE Watering Hole, awaiting transport home and was subjected to a typical query, involving my facial peculiarities.

I replied openly/honestly to the gent asking questions and he saw the humor in the disfiguration(s). 'Course,I sided with him,as I bear the brunt and can cypher firsthand accounting on the ordeal(s).(grin)

Anybody recognize these [bleep]?!!?

I hinted that the lineal chin scar, rates a blurb on their next show and the consent were unanimous('twere a compelling tale).

We'll see if they stick to their guns....................

I give up, who the heck are they?

What show?

But the important question, did you get them to buy a few rounds?

Passin' through, they were Tendin' in Bristol. Said Sig and the boys, were doing same.

Small World,when you've an 8 Screwdriver layover.

Dude setting next to me,ended up being from my home town and knew all the rowdies I ran with and had fished numerous boats I'd been on. A couple of the gang are dead now and that was unbeknownst to me,but they ran hard enough, that it figured.

Gents pictured,was genuine good folk.................

Cap'n Phil and Deckboss Dave.

Had to nearly give a blood oathe,to have them pen commentary upon a Heineken coaster. The Boys didn't wanna see it on Ebay and my genuine disdain for the implication, righted the World again. 'Course it spiced the autographs, which ain't fit to repeat here.(grin)

Cool cats........................

I was watching the show one night and my girlfriend jokingly asked me why I didn't sign up on one of those boats and make a chunk of change in a short period of time. My answer was if I was as tough as the good deckhands, and cold and wet and sleep deprivation didn't bother me, I'd just sign up for BUDS and take it easy.

They grind, but lotsa good boats do likewise.

For conversation, some Dungy boats were fishing 1500+ pots DownSouth, when it was wide open. Granted a Dungy pot weighs goodly less than a King pot and they fish shallower depths, but when you turn 500 pots in a day,you can feel it.

What I'm suprised isn't covered,is the pre-Opener gear work, for gratis. those are long/hard days, for zero jungle, banking on the Opener defraying those hours.

When I fished,it was DownSouth and I had a ride on what was prolly the best boat on the West Coast and the same could be said about it's Skippy. We dragged, midwater trawled and double-rig shrimped.

It was a buncha fun and the money fat, prior to the Dragger limits.

You can feel a 7-day Trip, after sorting tows on the backdeck 'round the clock,on your hands and knees.

Like anything,it's mind over matter...if'n you don't mind,it don't matter.....................(grin)

Stick ... glad to see you have a good time at the hub bar ... When you PM'd me at noon (or there about) to let me know "It's official, I'm drunk!" ... well, I got a little worried, for about a minute or maybe two ...

Two days of flying to get home, compounded by the unforeseen final 4hr layover, made me thirsty. That and being in Camp for 3wks,less libation, made it sound like a very good idea.

Had a hell of a good time, met lotsa folks and never got tossed in the clink.

Good things all....................
