Anybody loaded the 120 grain SST in the 270 for coyotes? I know way overkill caliber/bullet for dogs but seem to be a good choice given a reasonable B.C. and probably built a bit light for the 6.8 SPC. Thinking if trying it to try on the local yotes. Gimme some input if you have it.

If you plan on saving the hide I would keep looking.

I'd assume they'd be explosive at closer ranges and destroy hides as rrogers said.

Not too worried about hides around here, too many fences and about 75% of the coyotes have rubs.

That should be a perfect load for mangy coyotes.

I prefer classic.

Agreed. If you're not saving the hides it should work wonderfully if your gun likes them.

Plenty of those too. In fact if they dont have a rub you mange will screw the deal up. I dont even worry about them anymore, shoot them and haul them off to the ditch. The last time I sold hides I had killed 6-8 dogs and only had 1 decent hide, thats when I quit selling.
