My hunting buddy had someone give him an early 110 lefty. I forget if he said it was in 308 or 06, I'm thinking he said 06. He's looking for a set of Leupold scope bases. He said all the info asks if it is round or flat receiver. It's flat. He also said the stock is a little shabby and he would like to refinish it, but wanted to make sure their was no real collectors value before he did it. If they made them, I think he said, he would like adjustable bases. If anyone has a set let me know and I'll pass it on to John. Should he refinish or leave it be? Thanks guys, Joe.

Old flat base lh 30-06 110's are a common old gun, by lh standards.

I don't think they had their classic version out with the flat rear, so refinish as needed.

Tell John I expect him to be shooting it next time we're together!

Gary, I'm thinking about the last week of March. I was thinking about inviting any fire members in the area for a mini fest. I got a little surprise for ya. No more hunting for a log like a wild bear in the woods. I'll keep you posted. Actually, I think I'll post the question and see if any one would be interested in coming up.

If it's what I think it is, I'll kiss your ass in the public square and give you two hours to draw a crowd!!

have "4" of the 110 lefty's in cals. 243, 270,30-06, 308,(which is a DL), ranging from 1957 to 1973 mfg dates, (according to Mad Dog's records). Most all of these cal. readily available in LH and I have seen no real collector's value to date. But do they ever hunt! ...they all shoot lights out. Everyone single one of 'em will do 1/2" or better three shot groups at 100 yds. smile
