I just don't get the marriage thing?? Why would you want to get married and get the lawyers involved in a great fun time?? After the paper is signed the buyers remorse sets in and the relationship is over. Is he wanting to marry her? Or is she wanting to marry him? If they can make it work good on them. He married his last wife when she was 21 and he was 41. She was an Nigerian African he met while conducting an oil audit for his company. Now that she has her green card she has divorced him. He found a new African on another audit trip and is going to marry her. I think the only thing in which he is interested in is the sex. I think the only thing she is interested in is a chance to get a green card.

I'm 54 and divorced twice. All the 30 year olds I've met are looking for one thing. Money. Have dated some damn good looking 40 year olds, though.

Please, if he does this, get him to have a vasectomy before the wedding. We sure don't need anymore unwanted, unloved, unparented kids around. And that is exactly what he will do. Basically, he sounds like a moron and jerk all-in-one.

Not at all unusual over there IME, marrying for "love" is mostly a fairly recent Western thing. The young women in question where marriages are more of a practical arrangement often do not feel exploited, in many cases even seek out such matches. Prob'ly the divorce/adultery rate for such arrangements is lower than our own. Birdwatcher

On the main topic, Charles Goodnight, the famous Texas cattleman, was 64 years older than his second wife, whom he married at age ninety-one. She became pregnant shortly after but miscarried the child.
Mr Goodnight slept outside on the ground by preference his whole life an reportedly smoked around fifteen cigars a day.

His last wife left him for the promise of a "richer" and older man, but he kicked her to the curb once he was finished with her. She came slinking back to him and he took her back because (he told me) he was in love with her. That was about 10 years ago. They are now divorced (I just learned) and he is going after another young African girl. You know what they say . . . Once you go black you never come back!
Personally, I think his life is a mess, but that's just my opinion.

I want to be like my great grand dad. He got married at 103. All the neighbors asked why he wanted to get married at his age. He replied, "Didn't want to. Had to."
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

My brother just turned 60. He has been divorced three times and is getting ready to marry a young 30 something honey. What are the pros and cons of this? It's obvious why men would want to marry a woman half their age, shallow and misguided but I do understand the motivation. A woman wanting to marry a guy twice her age tells me she's either got serious daddy issues or is looking for a solid 401K...........neither of which would make them the best candidate for a wife. Not saying such an arrangement couldn't work with the right couple, but I'd have to feign surprise if it fell apart.

I'm kickin' the heck outa 80, and my wife is 30 years younger then I. We have been together for over 26 years, and I can honestly say, it has been the best 26 years of my life. Best huntin', fishin', campin' partner a man could ever have. Yes, it can work!

3rd World marriage customs meet 1st World divorce customs. Not a pretty hybrid of customs.

When I was 50 I dated a 23 year old, but it was admittedly a shallow relationship. She was just using me for sex and I was after her money. She got the better end of the deal, by far... Your modesty and humbleness overwhelms me!

In only my humble opinion, women in their 30's interested in an older man are most probably looking for one of two things, or perhaps both.
1) To be rescued.
2) A daddy for their kids.
I'm frankly not into either scenario.

To tell you the gospel truth,...in my not so damn humble opinion,...any man in his 60's who still views women as anything beyond a rather interesting nuisance has reasoning shortcomings. the strumpets I interact with are in agreement , and say it goes both ways.
