Why the hell does Remington feel the need to charge 32.95 for a box of 7-08 140grn. PSPCLs. That company could Fug up a free lunch. Or maybe they are TRYING to kill this cal. like they mostly did the 260.

7-08 is not a caliber. It's a cartridge.

How do you say it is Remington that charges this ? You should be asking your retailer that is charging that price. Retailer's go by supply and demand.

Yes it is a cartridge, my bad. Supply and demand, BULLSHIT. That's their price everywhere I find them. I do roll all my own. My son in law who has never hunted before wanted to come to deer camp with us so I picked him up a Savage mdl. 11 in 7-08, nice enough for a starter rifle. I don't have dies or 7mm bullets yet. That price just pisses me off when the next box over was 7mm Rem mag for 28.00.

and a box of .30-30 would have been $15 and .30-06/.308 would have been $18. That's something you shoulda thought of before you bought a cartridge that doesn't make the top 10, and probably not even the top 25, seller list. Nothin wrong with the cartridge, but more volume = lower prices. Be glad you didn't buy a .358

It is what it is nowadays.. Try something like a 300H&H and the $32.95 will seem really cheap. Glad I reload.

It doesn't piss me off anymore because I have faced reality!

I've taken the next logical step and that was to prepare survival wise for the crumble of society that is inevitable due to greed and immorality.

Today its called an extremist
In 20 years they will be called realists.

You'll find .17 Remington and 444 marlin ammo even more expensive, in fact, lots more.

Not quite sure what the point is. It cost what it cost and and you paid it. So it was worth the price.

Try to find some in the Weatherby line!!!!
They will really impress you.

A set of dies and a few used tools and you are on your way.

Sounds like somebody finished that box from 1989 and had to go buy another one!

Factory ammo has BEEN outrageous for years, reloading is the only way to go.

At least factory ammo is high quality these days...

Actions have consequences.

Ill considered actions lead to bad consequences.

There is nothing wrong with the cartridge, or probably Remington, or even the retailers. Supply, meet demand.

Step outside the mainstream flow and one will find life more expensive. Dies aren't that expensive, maybe a couple of boxes of ammo equivalent? Purpose driven arms and cartridges are not plinking tools these days. Box of bullets, pound of powder and a few caps go a fairly long way.

If a fella just has to plink with a rifle and ammo is costly...
