got a late start to the calling today, but managed to find a few. Dinged one that I under estimated the distance on. I suppose I nicked it low but it wasn't leavin' enough blood behind to make me believe I killed it.
Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

big mangy female from last night. Major bummer. On the plus side the 17 Rem dropped her in her tracks.

Got me a bonus varmint as I was shooting ditch parrots in SD last week. Sumbitch latched onto my uncle's shorthair while we were looking for a dead rooster in a cattail slough. I broke them up three times but one or the other would charge back in and get back after it. Dang coon was whooping the piss outta that little shorthair too, I don't think she ever got a shot in. I found my rooster in the process and held rooster and shorthair in my left hand while I administered an ounce and a quarter of 4s with my right out of my Browning Twelvette. Hell of a rodeo and added a coon to the incidental coyotes, one fox, a bobcat, skunks, possums, and dillers I've shot while hunting quail or pheasants.

I hope that shorthair had his rabies shot just in case.

Headed out to finally get the snare line out and couldn't pass up a good stand. Gotta love the 17 tactical with 25 grain Berger for no fur damage. Picture doesn't show it but has an awesome pelt but is covered in cockaburrs from his head to the tip of his tail. Going to be fun getting all of them out.

I'm told the biologists say they're the same. But these fox on the high plains have a bit different ear, and color than the kits down in the pinion country south of me.

another midnight NY dog. Hit this one as he was leaving. He made a 100yd dash through the hedgerow and I found him (luckily) in the open hayfield on the other side. 38lbs.
