Please excuse my ignorance but what is a 6.5x284 creedmoor? If its a 6.5x284 Norma I thought they were 1:8 twist? They are nice rifles ,I may be wrong , just a bit confused by your specs.

Sorry, I was listing a 6.5 creedmoor also, probably listed that as a 6.5 norma.
It is a 6.5x284 Norma and brass for that cartridge is easy to find but not for the elusive 6.5x284 creedmoor, kidding.
Thanks, gary

Everything I have read says it is a 9 twist. I only shot berger 130 Hunting VLD's through it and they shot very good. I understand that an 8 twist is supposedly ideal for the longer bullets. If I remember correctly, Scenarshooter had a 9 twist in his 260 and it shot tight little bugholes and killed all kinds of stuff. The extra velocity of this caliber will only stabilize the bullet more so no worries on shooting bergers.
With all that being said...out of curiosity I just ran a patch through it and got 1 turn in 8" +/- so I did it two more times and got 8" +/- both times. I dunno, maybe they haven't updated the web site. I just bought the rifle this fall so it is a recent model perhaps they started putting a 1:8 barrel on them this year.
Thanks, Gary

I heard it was designed by the same guy who did the howa. The action is really nice and I wouldn't mind building a rifle around it. If you look close you can see there is no recoil lug showing. It is part of the action and a nice design with a slight taper so when the action is tightened it is wedged into the bedding. Also the firing pin can be removed in the field and re assembled by hand without tools. Very well thought out and feeds really smooth.

What velocity were you seeing with the 130's?
"Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?"
