I'm about to let go of my remington 700 vssf 22-250. I believe the gun is no longer made. I don't know if that makes it worth anymore or not. I'm selling to fund another gun. It has leupold bases and rings and is in overall good condition. What do you guys think is a fair asking price? If anyone is interested in buying it feel free to send me a message, because it will be for sell. I'd rather not ship. I'm locsted in the great state of Tennesse.

$450-$550 depending on condition.
Beware of thieves, scammers and dishonest members on the "Fire" classifieds. Ya there is a thief here too. Whatever!!
They're all around the CampFire and everywhere.

I thought about asking 900-1000 since they don't make them anymore.

I'm just guessing, I think maybe around 800.00 I'm no value expert... But I do know it's worth more than 500.00.
Round count? How's it shoot? Looks like HS stock.

I have seen them from $650 to $800. The $800 one was a nice rifle, no dings, barrel looked good, etc.
I don't think you will draw much interest at $900 - $1000. And if you are not willing to ship you are severely limiting your potential market.

I had one about 12 yrs ago very similar in 22-250 and I paid 550. I sold it for 350. It had a wood stock though. Nice gun but other than targets it was all but useless. It was too heavy.

7magking: I'll ask again - how many rounds down the barrel? If I were there in Tennesse I would put my Siebert Bore Inspection Tool to use on it and answer the question myself. Theres a lot of difference in the value of a 22-250 type Varmint Rifle that has 100 rounds down its barrel and one that has 1,000 rounds fired. So your round count will help me set a value and establish my percentage of interest in your handsome Rifle. Also is this the long bolt shrouded "J-Lockable" model? Thanks in advance and good luck selling your Rifle. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

So Its seems as if they hold their bakue pretty good I think gunbroker has some really wild "bidding" games (for lack of a better term). If $950 is your goal, perhaps gunbroker is your best bet. You are more likely to find an audience who "just has to have that model" there. If that makes sense.
