Wild how those have gotten hard to find as individual parts isn't it? You may already know this, but:
-a rifle buffer is basically a rifle buffer other than being different generations and armorers manuals indicate preference to swapping out the old styles with new ones. Due to collector prices, it would be odd for anyone to accidentally sell you an older type rifle buffer(Edgewater) though.
-the receiver extension for an A2 stock is the same tube length as an A1, but with a spacer added in.
-the sling loop screw is short for an A2 and long for an A1(the exact opposite of the screws that secure the stock to the receiver extension) and is why most cheek pieces I am aware of will only work on an A2 length stock without being modified
- Measure the buffer spring to make sure it is what it is supposed to be. Seen rifle length springs dropped in to carbine receiver extensions so it is possible to get sold the wrong thing.
