I went on a hunt with Skinner Creek last December and got a nice Lynx and Mountain Lion. I left both with the outfitter, Doug McMann, to take to his taxidermist to prep and ship- and have been fighting ever since to get them. Now I cant even get a response from the taxidermist.
Does anyone know the appropriate authorities or anyone I can contact to try and get my cats back? The address I sent the check to is in Anaheim Lake and the guys name is Mike Witt.
Thanks,
Brad

Have you talked to Doug? I'd personally be putting it on his back to get things straightened out.

I have many times. This is supposedly a good friend of his, but Doug isn't getting anything done. I'm just sick of the two of them lying to me so am trying to find someone in B.C. to talk to.
I'm hoping there is someone up there that could put some pressure on them. It can't be good to have people come up and spend thousands of dollars on these hunts and not get their trophies. As I understand it I'm not the only one.

Hate to raise chitt but sometimes chitt needs raising.

http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/forum.phpYou could try this forum, mostly guys from BC and Alberta. Someone there may provide some local insight, or an offer to assist.

One other option is to contact the Conservation Officers (game warden) in Williams Lake. He/they will know what steps you need to take, and who to talk to if in fact they are not the right people. http://dir.gov.bc.ca/gtds.cgi?attribute=title&esearch=&for=people&matchMethod=is&searchString=Conservation+Officer+(Williams+Lake)&sortBy=title&updateRequest=&view=brief

Thanks guys!
Mike apparently started to feel the heat, and sent me an email saying he would be down between Christmas and New Year to send my cats. Hopefully he does and this is the end of it!!

Best of luck on this. It's near impossible to really do much across state lines, and likely impossible across a border.

Good luck, sometimes a guy needs to make these things public to hold people accountable.
