Just wondering if there was any information on good food and evening adventure.

Also if there are any fire members in the area I would love to meet for a beer or dinner one evening.

I am flying into Baltimore on Sunday late afternoon and will be driving from there.

Let me know,

Mack

Downtown Frederick City on Market street has some of the best restaurant's. "Firestone" is a local favorite along with others serving Indian, French and wine tasting establishments. Downtown Frederick which is old Civil War city has maintained it's 1800's architecture has become like Georgetown in D.C,

The NRA Museum is about an hour away (weekend traffic) and well worth the trip. Gettysburg Battlefield is 45 minutes north of Frederick which you can tour by car.

Plus one for Barley and Hops.

They brew their own beer which is excellent, and so is the food and the service.

I live about 30 miles away in Silver Spring and I try to get there at least once a week.

And sometime I even let Roof join me. He and I drink the same beer.

Good idea for a visit, I have not been to their new location since they moved the shop from Hancock, Maryland.

Watch out for speed/red light cameras they have a few?

Maryland crab cakes enjoy!

Watch which areas you "enter" in Maryland. Some can be pretty rough. Not sure how much exploring your going to be doing.

Frederick wasn't a bad place.

Be sure you review the thread about Maryland cops targeting cars belonging to concealed carry licensees. Plan accordingly.

I suppose the alcohol kills the bugs, but that just sounds nasty.

Doc,

You are so right.
I'm going to try to work up something for this weekend.
And it has been WAY too long.
Hope all is well with you.

I'm in but if this goose hunt comes together on Saturday then Sunday may be better.

When do you head out? Before three day weekend?
