Limiting selection to what you already have. If you could only keep 1 rimfire, 1 centerfire, and 1 shotgun...what would they be and why?

I would keep:

1. Ruger 10/22-Weaver Classic K4 not the most accurate .22 I own, but it gets the job done and I've had it since I was 12.

2. CZ550 Premium .270-Leupold FX-3 6x42-most accurate rifle I own, if I absolutely positively have to deliver the meat to the pot...this is the one I trust to get it done.

3. Coast to Coast Model 367 12ga(full choke)(Savage Model 30) I've only got 2 shotguns, no real attachment to either but this one gets the most use.

There's mine.

I'd grab the first one out of the safe and use it to blow my head off.

Marlin 22LR - from Pop when I was 10
Win M70 270 - belonged to late uncle
Citori - Christmas bonus to myself 10 years ago.

And might as well add a pistol:

1911- graduation present

Hmmm, maybe its time to have a yard sale.

Then I'd go to Travis' and take all his guns.

Eh, I don't mind a good ass chewing by someone that doesn't particularly like the rifle I chose, but this thread has taken a serious detour thats no joking matter.

The ony whittling done 'round here is with a pocket knife and wood.

I'd be perfectly happy with a 22, a good 270 or 30-06, and a 12 gauge.

Be sure to check the magazine on his 7-08 for 22-250s.

Agreed, I guess moving the guns to the new safe and the fact that I'll be 40 of Friday just got me thinking...I certainly didn't see it going THAT direction.

2) Sako L61R .270 or .30-06 - excellent rifles in all respects

I guess I'd keep whatever I had the most ammo for....because it appears that I'd need it to defend from the next attempted gun grab that's sure to come.

My thinking would not be to keep the sexy....but keep them for killing power and ample supply of ammo.

But if I were choosing to do it....which I wouldn't.....I'd probably keep the GAP non-typical 308, a S&W Model 18 22 LR, and a Benelli 12 Ga.

Me too but I'd split the difference and go .280, on a Kimber action.
