Out of curiosity, what is the fit like on the element jacket? I am searching for one in XL (I'm right in between L and XL in "street clothing," depending on brand), and I've heard they run small, and that the XL fits like L, and the 2XL fits like XL. Just wondering if I should include 2xl in my search for a mountain mimicry jacket.

Yes, your thinking is correct. A xxl fits well for a guy that typically wears a roomy xl.
