A short trip to Tx. is a great way to make the winter pass faster, pop a couple hogs, fresh pork in the freezer.. Easy to do in a week.. didn't realize how popular ice fishing is.. Guess if there were all those kinds of fish in Wy. it would be fun..

I saw a savage axis that tempted me in a left hand for my daughter. I'm glad I left the shop!

I just mounted a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 on it, that I had laying around. It's a perfect scope for this gun.

Really? That's good to know Buschy, because the Axis was $75 cheaper.

I bought my son an Axis in .223 for 190 dollars shipped and transferred on cyber-monday.

I had a Bushnell Elite 4200 3x9 to put on it, and rings to mount it in the shop. I had to buy a base, so it was maybe 205 dollars done.

The gun I need for my daughter should be left handed. She can shoot this one lefty but for one she's going to use on a regular basis I want it to be hers. So, I'll get one she's comfortable with.

Happy with my Axis so far. Inch groups right from the get go with Federal Fusion stuff. Gotta think it will really tighten up with some good handloads.

They picked a few slackers like Teows, Crosby, Parise, and Suban eh....slumming the bottom of the barrel. grin

The stick work is unreal! And shows just how good the goalies really are!!

Thanks for posting that, it was awesome!

Yeah I dunno about goalies; they're either really brave or really crazy. Check out the goalie cam in that vid.

Word has it that our very own goalie put's his mug between Reed Larson's slapshot and the net every Sunday for fun. What most don't know is that Reed Larson played for the Red Wings and the NHL listed him as the 19th hardest slapshot in NHL HISTORY!!! Crazy or brave, you be the judge.

Now pass me another Molson's. smile

I've seen our goalie in action. Don't let him fool you...he's good.

I'll take the Labbots tho. smile

Oh, I'm sure he's good...he has to be to survive in the net with that crowd. My own experience lasted part of one season when I was 12. Caught a skate in the mouth. 3 chipped teeth and stitches inside my mouth. I was done other than road hockey..."Car!"..."game off!"..."car gone!"...."game on!" No skates either. cool

And Labatts it is. Have two. smile

Aww geez, I'm sorry Ryan. I hope he's not in pain and wish your grandma and family strength. Godspeed.

thank you CFT. I guess he is in pain and all they can do is try to kill the nerves around the area. it's not pretty but it's life. Been really hard around here for a few days, and more to come. sorry everyone. just thought more prayers wouldn't hurt.

side note, way to go RWS. I'm impressed, though not surprised.
