Back to a more serious note, how many people are looking at or have an illuminated scope they're planning on using (as recommended) and how important is one to being successful on this type of hunt?
Only thing I've got illuminated is a Nightforce 5.5-22x50 that sits on a HB .308 that I really wasn't planning on using... Only other thing I've got 30mm rings for is a Mtn. Guide 7mm-08 and the scope would be damn near as big as it.
I was actually thinking of bringing a few guns that normally don't see much daylight.
I'm prolly gonna bring my M4 with the Burris 1-4X illuminated reticle just for low light shooting, and a 270 of some sort. I know, I know, the 270 bullets will just bounce off...

If the most interesting man the world is using a .270

We are gonna have to watch for bouncing bullets on this hunt with all the .270's showing up. Good thing they just bounce off.

Just for arguments sake if a .243 and a .223 are cool why wouldn't a .270 be? Myself I've never even fired a .270 The .270 is un-cool simply by virtue of the fact you and I have never even fired one.... There doesnt need to be any other reason....
