Ben, it's been a January thaw here as well. I live in town and had to mow the grass last week.

And just a little ways away, about 80 feet out..

Bushwhackin' between Rye and Walsenburg.

Couple weeks ago I counted 6 or 7 perched 'together'. About 200 yards from the river in cottonwoods. Spread out between several trees, most I've seen in one place.

Hoehne on this side. And yes that is the name of a small town pronounced "Ho knee".
