Yeah it had a recoil pad. Steel plated .375 H&H,you win.  You forgot to point out that this goes with the motto, "I might be dumb, but at least I ain't smart!" Win!

Just thinking about shooting a .375 H&H with a steel plate makes my teeth rattle.

Knew a fellow that had a custom 375 H&H built with a maple stock and skeleton butt plate with checkered butt.
He put a Leupold 6.5x20 on it.
