Does anyone have any information on how many 1895 75th Anniversary rifles were manufactured? Thanks for the information.
Thom

Pretty sure they made 10,000 of them - but don't have my Murray's.

Wrong. 10000 was what the company planned to sell. In reality only about 8000 were made and sold. JTC

Thanks very much! I never would have doubted the 10,000 number.

And that probably explains the octagon barreled 99C's we see occasionally. Sounds like there's definitely no more than 2000 of them.

Thanks John! If I remember correctly your assemblers mark is on a few of these.

Loggah was nice enough to post up a picture of one, and keep it online. http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/4943576

I don't know the time span that it was used by JTC but he did assemble 75th's. The stamp design was used by another prior to JTC so rifles with the stamp are not all his assemblies.

Oh no.....break my bubble! I own one, after a lot of searching, and have never heard the story about another individual using the same mark as JTC. How do I correct all the wrong information I've unknowingly put out there? I know, "never say always".
