My LGS has an older Rem 541 T junior special, I believe it was made in the 1960's. It looks to be in fantastic shape and it functions flawlessly. I had him put it aside for me for now while I think about it.

What would be a fair price for it?

Thanks

Curious, Is that a 541T or a 514T? I ask because I have a 510 Targetmaster that I have used for teaching Scouts striving for their shooting merit badge. The 514 Targetmaster is an old time single shot. I thought the 541 was 90's production. But hell I've been wrong twice already this year and it's only Feb.

I thought the 541 was 80s. But, we're both wrong:

It was introduced in 1972! I bought my 541-T around 1990 and thought they were new then, maybe just the variation was new. But, I'm still betting you are right in that the OP's rifle is a 514.

They didn't make a 541T Jr. to the best of my knowledge.

I agree. I think they started with the 541-S. Then they progressed to the 541-T in the 80's. And then later to the 541-T HB.

IF it is a Jr. it is probably a 513 T.
