I have heard the same thing 20 years ago before Aoudad hunting became popular. Don't they compete with the native species such as mule deer and desert sheep?
I have them on my short bucket list and can't hardly wait.

They may chew stuff in a high fence enviroment, but these are free range sheep. Besides maybe making a hole or 2 under barbwire fences, I have yet to see a sheep do much damage.
Toby Joe Well I've seen first hand where Aoudad's have chewed feeder battery/contorller units to pieces.....on a low fence place. The land owner had no idea where they came from but he had quite a large herd on his place. He'd whack a few every week. But hey what do I know.

I was on this hunt with Goats260 and I can't recall what we paid, but it was reasonable.
We hunted with Toby Joe, his dad Joe, and buddy Chris. These are great guys to hunt with. They know how to run a camp and they all can hunt and shoot. You can see the size of the sheep and they have a lot of them.
Goats260 and I are going to do this again.

You must be a hell of a shot to kill a monster like that with a 270.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time by the blood of patriots and tyrants.
If being stupid allows me to believe in Him, I'd wish to be a retard. Eisenhower and G Washington should be good company.

You should have seen the shot that 405wcf made, and it was with his 260. They are tough animals but with the right shot placement with any gun in the right caliber it should do the trick, even the ole 270 win.
