Continuing with my rare finds, I have now come across a Sako M50. A M98 based Sako, in 9,3x62.
I also found one in 270.
Not completly orginal any of them. But whats your take on them?
9,3 = $1000 270 = $700

I have a Sako barreled action in 300 H&H that I put in a Mcwoody this year. Never found a model # FN from the fifties.
Never take life to seriously, after all ,no one gets out of it alive.

Should be a commercial FN action, combine that with a Sako barrel and it is a tough combo to beat for those preferring such rifles. Assuming nice condition and no incorrect holes, LOP, etc., I would buy the 9.3 if I desired one.

Should also have the Sako trigger! If I was looking for one, I'd think hard about it! No idea on pricing though. Figure what it would cost to make one like that now though. (possibly barrel, trigger for sure, action, etc.)

If u pass on the 9.3 pm me please! Check Steve Barnett site under "dangerous game" rifles or large bore magazine rifles and you should be able to find FN Mauser 9,3x62. Hope you have "deep pockets". Frankly for that coin I would rather have "mythical" 9,5x73 a la Winchester. PS. Sako sporter in this caliber made using FN Mauser action should have standing 100m blade and folding 200m one.

Not bad looking rifle and what appears to be B. Nickel scope in Euro mounts is nice bonus.
If anyone is interested in 9,3x Simpson Ltd. is place to frequent. They seem to have monopoly on HVA, KG,..... and other old Euro stuff. If you want 9,3x62 you have to be quick or fist fight other Americans. For some reason locals think this cartridge is best thing since sliced bread. Kinda off we Europeans had it around since before WWI.
