Saw this on another site and everyone kept saying the same thing, that they shouldn't have cut the live ones antlers. Why? I can't see how it would be an issue. Its antlers were thinner and easier to cut, and now he doesn't run off with another set of antlers hung up in his rack. Seems like the right choice to me.
Besides the lack of velvet, the bucks were fighting. They aren't going to knock heads with live, tender antlers. They don't start until they're dried and DEAD.
