On a site that is over run with ads requiring special browsers and pop-up blockers and all...and you have a problem with a guy selling trees? Good grief...get over your self...no one is requiring you to click on his ad. He is running a business, is he paying Rick? I'm pretty sure Rick is at least as smart as you are...

This year there was enough rain...others they may need irrigated. I'd think Cheyenne would be OK if you keep an eye on moisture levels. I am thinking of sending my parents some for their place in PA. We have some privacy issues they'd like to address there.

Yep, during the dry times out there you would want to have them watered, mulching and keeping other competing plants away help with that, too. Sometimes they are planted in dry climates and wouldn't need that in areas that are by water. Fertilizer is another thing to help push more growth.

I wonder how many of these guys selling knives everyday are paying Rick? That is why they are free classifieds. +100 The classifieds are awash with guys making and selling knives as if it's their own store front and while it's annoying because it bumps stuff further from the top rapidly, I don't see anyone calling for their ban.

Rick allows the knives. The buyers and sellers like the classifieds. So it doesn't matter what the rest think. Take a hike if you don't like.
I'd bet the knife makers contribute a hellova lot more than joe average around here.

How would the trees do in the deep south? I'll most likely be buying local unless I come across a hell of a deal.
On another note, I don't see any problem with peddling trees on an outdoor forum.

Should grow faster there than where I am at with all the moisture and hot temps.

any chance you sell them smaller in higher volume? I could use 100 in the 1-2' range
how tolerant are they to pH variances?

They are tolerant to different ph levels in the soil and different soil compositions and have shown good growth in a lot of different scenarios. I sell 6' cuttings, so you pretty much can cut them to what size you want. If you want that size, you only need to order 30 or less.

What are the root systems like? I have an easement that is eroding badly. Would planting these along the easement help with that?

These trees are frequently used for erosion control because of their strong root system that develops pretty fast.
