Yes, but I'd bet a $5 that most people who register as a 24HCF member don't take two years to post twice. TTAYLOR registered on 02/28/13 and has posted twice, well, actually three times now.

If the seller had more of a record here, I probably would have bought this stock, but a guy with two posts is about as anonymous as could be. I hope that it works out for the buyer.

As far as his post count goes, not everyone wastes as much time on here as some folks do, and there are a lot of people here with thousands & thousands of posts that I wouldn't trust any farther than I could throw them.....

Not necessarily "honorable", but people who post more than a few times gain an on-line reputation. I never said that you were a bad guy, I don't know you, and I have a couple of Remington 700 SA barreled actions that I would love to have installed in your $400 stock, but I'm the soul of caution and reluctant to send a $400 MO to a guy with no history.

This isn't like eBay, where there is a customer service department to adjudicate buyer/seller disputes. If there is a dispute here, the buyer has no recourse except the goodwill of the seller. After having been burned by low post count sellers who took the money and ran, I have become a more cautious buyer.

I established my reputation on several forums as a newbie by offering to ship my for sale item prior to receiving payment from an established member. One such transaction on any forum will advance one's reputation immediately to a higher level. I'm not saying you should do that ttaylor, it's just what I have done.
