What powder do you consider the easiest on the ears for a mid range 357 magnum load with a 140 to 158 gr bullet?

I use Unique for all of my midrange handgun loads. I don't think there exists a 357mag load I'd call easy on the ears though.

I find 158gr Hornady XTPS and 15.5grs of H110 to be easy on the ears, from a Marlin.

I use Unique and was just wondering what other people used. I have been thinking about trying Vihtavuori N110

Another vote for unique. As mentioned no such thing as a revolver load that is going to be easy on the ears, but it doesn't bark anywhere near what the top 2400 and H-110 loads do.

Max H 110 loads with Barnes 140s out of a 4" ported Tarus Titanium feels like being stabbed in the ears with an ice pick.

HS6 or BlueDot gets the duty for mid range loads for my 586. They both seem to shoot a bit cleaner with magnum primers.

HS6, No 5, Power Pistol, and Unique will all do great for mid range 357.

I started using Hodgdon "Longshot" powder in the .357 as a mid range powder with 160 grain and 180 grain cast bullets. Accuracy is superb.

I find 158gr Hornady XTPS and 15.5grs of H110 to be easy on the ears, from a Marlin. Steelie, You need to try 14.8 grains of LiL'gun with the Hornady 180 Gr. XTP in your little Marlin .357. Mine loves this load. Doc

158's have been working and killing deer, don't see a reason to switch.
