My name is Jim and I am a stunt shooter. I have shot whitetails with my .223 and will do so again. I have also dispatched a couple of Black bears with it and if the situation arose again I wouldn't hesitate. I know I can find the support I need here.

You can't label yourself as a stunt shooter. Somebody else has to.

I guess I'm not a stunt shooter. Never got one with my 223. My 220 Swift and 22-250 are a different story.

There's always next year!

Gonna give it a try with a 220 Wilson Arrow too.

Savage99 labels him a stunt shooter. He will probably be receiving a confirmation PM shortly.

The label of "stunt shooter" varies with both other people's perceptions, the size of the cartridge and bullet, and the size of the game.

Savage 99 would call any hunter a stunt shooter who doesn't use the very largest cartridge they can shoot accurately. Others wouldn't even consider taking deer with a .223 stunt shooting, instead insisting on a .22 Hornet, or maybe even a .17 Hornet or rimfire before awarding you the pin.

Tried 223 on bear, only because I was carrying a bear tag during deer season. Nowadays better bullets would help.

As kids we never gave it a second thought to shoot deer with a .223 much less a 22.250 back in the day.

With a .22 rimfire however, we took very careful aim.

I do not know about his shooting, but that guy in the video is a stunt talker.

I do not know, what language he thinks, he is speaking, but it is not English. Painful, to say the least.

I've killed elk with a .243 and 25-06 using 90 & 95 grain bullets. both were DRT

never killed a deer with a .223 though, maybe I need to do that this year.....just to join the group.

I have never wounded and lost a deer with a rifle, knock on wood.

I would imagine you'd choose your shots more carefully if the deer had a rifle. None of the ones that I've shot have had the capability to shoot back.

You might think so, but in reality they are no more dangerous than regular deer. No added care in aiming, or shot placement is needed.

Do you get to keep their rifle?

I like hunting French deer, there's rifle laying everywhere.

Are you talking .177, 5MM, .22 or .25?

if you saw one you wouldn't want it, they take horrible care of them. I'm guessing because of the no opposable thumbs thing.
