I know what you'll tell me —
“post this in the classifieds” —
Nope.
For several reasons that I'll neither list nor discuss,
that's not a workable option for me.Even worse, developing circumstances may
soon force me off the internet altogether.
Until then, I'll have to rely on e-mail —
[email protected] — afterward, on face-to-face chats somewhere.
(Can't hear or speak well enough to use the 'phone.)
In the recent tunnel-vision flurry to get rid of my guns,
I neglected to leave myself a suitable carry gun,
a “turret gun” for my wheel chair.
What I want but can't afford would be a 1911 .45 —
preferably a Kimber, preferably stainless,
mainly for the deterrent value of a big hole
staring at you from a big, shiny pistol.
(The .50 AE Desert Eagle costs too much
and is too big and heavy!
And anything smaller than the familiar 1911
would, to some perps, be an object of ridicule,
not the least bit intimidating.)
I was going to list my on-hand trading stock but
abandoned that notion as unwise public disclosure.
So if you're interested in possibly trading-off a good
1911 .45 to me, let's chat.
And since I'm here only seldom and may soon not be
here at all, let me try to express my deep and fervent
appreciation for the many years of very pleasant fellowship,
both in person and on-line, with so many good folks.
I don't know many of you by name, but I've already
discovered that I don't need to know your names
to remember our times of good fellowship.
Thanks,y'all!
(I mean it!)
