This track has always intrigued me. The only song in existence that has a 6/4, 7/4, 13/4 time signature, the majority being in 13/4. Brilliant.

Seeing Mark Knophler in DC in October. Last concert I have been to was Dire Straits in the old Seattle Civic center in 92-ish. Really looking forward to this.

Good evening to you sir and thanks for that song, I've been a fan of Mark Knophler's since their first album hit the prairie airwaves in '79.
As you say the man can write a song - and play the guitar some too...
So since you took me there, this is a song I heard for the first time one night in the fall during harvest when we were going 'round the clock.
The words hit home with me anyway and even though I've left the land, it has a hold on me.
