1tn, I've got a Leupold 3-9X40 in Dual Dovetail lows on my VG Deluxe .270. I'm considering putting it in a synthetic in a couple of months and switching to a 2.5-8X36 I've got laying around. Am thinking about the Talley LW lows or preferably the ex-lows since I don't think obj. clearance will be an issue with the 36mm bell. Probably going to have to use the extended rearward fronts though to get the 2.5-8 far enough back. John

Thanks John that's what I want to go with is the Talleys. Wasn't sure if I should go w/ mediums or lows.

I think your Talley extra lows would be great in this application.

I like my scopes mounted as low as I can. Think I'd get the clearance w/ the bolt handle and eye piece, w/ the xtra lows

1tn, I would think you'll be alright with the ex-lows. In all honesty, the Talley lows aren't that low comparitively and the ex-lows are only 1/10th" lower. I've got a Leu. 3-9X40 in Leu. Dual Dovetail lows on the VG now with no problem (at the eyepiece) and they're somewhere between the Talley lows and ex-lows in height. John
