An African American friend pointed this out to me that Dubya appeared to be the only prominent GOP politician who showed up for the event.

I know I didn't even think about any of them being there but I would have thought someone like Chris Christie, Jeb or whoever would have been there in the mix.

Maybe some of them were and I'm just not aware of it.

The New York Times CROPPED Pres. Bush OUT of the photo of the march. So why should any GOP ANYONE take it (the march) seriously???

Are you talking about Selma, Alabama?

If so, why in he!! would anyone want to go there? I admit, I've been through there 2 times, but only because the road I was traveling on went through the town, and it was the shortest and quickest way to get to where I was going. Didnt stop either time and dont plan on going back there again.

They should have blocked the bridge again, and arrested everyone for interfering with traffic.

For many, the long weekend in Selma wasn't to remember the past mistakes and the correction of those mistakes by society.

It was a chance to keep up the race baiting, and further their agenda.

Why else would they crop out Bush attending the rally? Brian Williams is the tip of the iceberg. MSM lies worse than that every day, as long as it fits the agenda.

yea but you're not trying to pry away votes in a presidential election, especially given it doesn't appear there will be a black candidate this time around.

The remembrance was basically meaningless and of low impact just like was the million black man march on Wash., D.C. in that only 2 of the fuggers missed work.

Are you surprised at the lack of showing at Selma by GOP 2016 candidates?

Obama boycotted the Netenyahu speech. It's entirely appropriate for the GOP to boycott his speech, wherever he happens to be.

I would have thought you had something worthwhile to think about.
