It wouldn't be my first choice for buffalo, but if someone would let me do it, I'd give it a go!

I like an optimist! But I just checked the Market this morning. All I can say is NO, we's can't! You could always sell those photos of you in the thong to Playgirl!

Cant sell that. Its my 'big' rifle and will have to go with me....again. Absolutely! I just finished Captick's book about Wally Johnson, PH in Mozambique a few decades ago. He (Johnson) tells the tale of taking a German/Austrian(?) lady hunting and she downed not one but two Cape Buffalo with, as he put it, a "pipsqueak" 7x57. One shot each. She obviously knew how to use her 'big' rifle as well. Can you tell me the name of that book please? Thanks, Sam

Can you tell me the name of that book please? Thanks, Sam "The Last Ivory Hunter: The Saga of Wally Johnson" Great book, although it ends on a pretty down note since Johnson didn't live long enough to see Mozambique's hunting tradition revive.
"An archer sees how far he can be from a target and still hit it, a bowhunter sees how close he can get before he shoots." It is certainly easy to use that same line of thinking with firearms. -- Unknown

Fantastic,man!
That leopard double at last light on your last night is utterly amazing. The kudu and waterbuck are beauties, as well.
Good on you both. Spectacular hunt and pics.

Isaac, Good to hear from you again. I believe we both took Malarone. It was one pill a day for a couple days before, during and a week after we returned. I had no issues with it. Went to a travel clinic in Centreville for most of the shots and prescriptions. Piece o cake.

excuse me if i missed it but what make is your 375? beautiful rifle Blackdogsrules rifle is a Winchester Custom shop M-70 in 375 H&H. it is a beautiful rifle with exceptional wood. Very accurate too. Mine is a Winchester Safari Express re-stocked in a McMillan McWoody. Both rifles shoot at the exact same POI with Barnes 300 TSX & Northfork 300 grain solids. 163bc
