My buddy Caleb was born (8-3-11) with cerebral palsy.
Doctors said that within three years, max, pneumonia would take him.
For his parents, that was too much time to waste on a vegetable.
They hammered him.
They hurled him against the wall.
They slam-dunked him onto the floor.
Again and again.
But that tough little bird survived all that.
When the authorities eventually rescued him,
every major bone in his little body had been broken at least once.
Terry and Becky adopted him and swathed him with love,
and he blossomed. Whenever I talked to the flame that I knew was
burning bright in his brain, his eyes “locked horns” with mine, and
he smiled a beautifully warm smile that could melt Alaskan granite.
The doctors were right about one thing — that he'd be especially
susceptible to pneumonia. Recently, that old bug had indeed been
making it hard for Caleb to breathe.
Until last night (3-8-15) —
Caleb can run now.
"Good enough" isn't.
Always take your responsibilities seriously but never yourself.

It's heart breaking to hear of this, but I'm glad you shared. This little guy is in the arms of Jesus now. ..no more sorrow or pain...only joy, love, and peace.

It's amazing as to how parents can treat their own.
I'm sure that God has a special place for the three of them Not in the same local, though.
Jesus issued a strong warning to child abusers when He said it would be better for them if a mill stone was tied to their neck and then cast into the ocean for a starting place. Their eternal place will not be cool.
