Selling this for a hunting buddy of mine. I do have the shotgun in my possession and will handle the shipping. I am having trouble getting pictures to load on photobucket, but can email or text them to any interested potential buyers. I know this is the older model that was made 10 or so years ago. It it is the all black model. He is asking 780 shipped to your FFL. First I'll take it will get it. Payment will need to be USPS Money Order. I don't believe that he is looking for any trades at this time. Please send me a PM if you would like to see pictures, I'll try to get them posted at some point as well.

There was a time when these got up close to the $2,000 mark, as Browning stopped making them, and the other manufacturers had yet to build a bolt-action slug gun. Back then, Tar-Hunt was the Holy Grail of slug guns....now everyone, including Browning again, is making them. Browning made a good one, for sure.

Wirth, The smooth bore would have had a ported rifled choke tube extending roughly 4" beyond the front sight...if that helps.

Sorry I didn't mention in the original ad, this is the rifled barrel version. I honestly didn't know they made it in a smooth bore.

When introduced these were commanding top dollar due to its technology and lack of competition from other manufacturers but today there's lots of options and price points. GB has a number of these listed +/- the asking price of this one.

these are nice guns, and while imo 2000 was silly money for one, 725 is a fair price.
Savage took a shyte load of the steam out of used sale prices, however as good as the savages are, these are great guns in their own way.
i was "this" close to buying one at a gunshop up in maine once ($1000) and when i put it down the guy next to me bought it.
anyway, you get a free bump for a lame story.
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

He said his 67 year old body won't ever shoot a 12 ga slug again.
How about 700 shipped.

I have the medallion version. I paid quite a bit for it two years before browning reintroduced the gun, and now that Ohio has limited rifle hunting she just gets dusty.

They are great guns, but not 2K worth. I have a Savage 220 (20 ga). The market is small for resale (shotgun only states).
