I have done them all but the HDTV thing. I am not great at painting a straight line but I have done it. The rest is just normal stuff in my mind.

Really? I guess I'd better go sink my...wait "a" car and practice escaping out of it?

Some are ridiculous IMO. Some are a must.

#1 is the thing I hate most in life (but I can do it). It gets my tennis elbow (and I don't play tennis) screaming in no time.

#3 describes how losers split wood.

#6 is pitifully incomplete.

#19 doesn't work as well as people think.

#39 - see #3.

#48 - see #6.

#57 is for you winter cotton wearers.

#61 "Cut off the old belt with a knife" What the....?

#64 Canoeing instructions for losers.

#69 That photo is a hoot.

#79 Must be for the deep south. Haven't seen windows like that around here for a long time.

Oh - and nothing about sharpening a knife? Not that great of a list, IMO. Probably things there others could point out too.

Actually I enjoyed it, but I suppose the fact I swam competitively for years and scuba dive made it NBD. I admit the first time they did the simulated small plane going in nose first and flipping you upside down it was a bit disorienting. I did the training in Anchorage, before heading to Atyrau. My boss at the time completely freaked out.

I give the kite a pass, because it was once a military tool.

You can use a sewing machine to make manly things - like tents, sails, and Hammocks. And making things is manly. wink

Still....not that great of a list.

Do they have "learn to back up a boat trailer before going to the launch ramp" as one of them?

I've always like Robert Heinlein

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”

jumper cables was mainly for helping others though our severe cold has killed a couple batteries on me over night and jumped my own vehicle to get down to Napa....tow strap has also been mainly for pulling out others especially a buddy that ownes a ford laugh plus some of us actually leave pavement at times and here offroad means gumbo which means no traction when wet....
