I'm lazy today, so here's a link to most of my successful loads: http://www.serveroptions.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=25;t=000222

Also check hodgdon's website for H 110 and Lil Gun loads. I believe with Lil gun you can really crank the up the 370's, somewhere around 1500 fps.

I would consider 25 gr to be potentially too hot for for some 400 gr bullets, especially those with the shorter noses, ie .37" from canalure to meplat. I found CCI mag pistol primer over ~21 gr H110 to be very accurate with both the 390 gr LBT LFN and 400 gr Lee, and it clocked right around 1200 fps from the 7 1/2" SRH. Both of these bullets will print 1" at 50 yds for 5 shots. To my mind, a 400 gr @ 1200 fps will kill anything I'll hunt with a sixgun, and conversely at a recoil level that is still very shootable.

Art just happened to be at the range the day I shot a 100yd 1 1/2" 3 shot group. Hey, if he wants to think I shoot that well all the time, then I won't deny it.
I Shot the 480 over the weekend--almost 40 rounds of factory ammo. It's all I have had time to try, and it's what I'll carying with me after I bag my elk and start packing it out. Hopefully, I'll stumble across a black bear over my gut pile and get to test the factory loads's effectiveness on such a critter.

I finally made peace with the thing and when I settled down, I could shoot 3-4" groups at 50 yds with iron sights. The last two sight in shots were about an inch apart, and straddled the bull an inch above it. of course, that was rested.

I wonder how well those aperture sights that replace the rear blade work? It would eliminate my biggest problem, which is not keeping the front sight exactly even with the rear.
